Join our Workshop: “Climate Resilience of EU Wood Value Chains”

Join the #RESONATE Online Backcasting Workshop on Tuesday, March 19th, 2024, 14:00 – 16:00 CET and explore with us adaptation measures and societal demand!

Are you a forest owner, manager or part of the wood value chain? Your insights are crucial and we want you at our workshop!

Save the date for this collaborative event co-hosted by the University of Graz, the University of Copenhagen, and Prospex Institute. Together, we’ll explore “Climate Resilience of European Wood Value Chains: Exploring Adaptation Measures and Societal Demand.”

Join us to explore the impact of climate change on the resilience of our forests, the wood industry and society’s demand for forest products and services, and engage with experts Annechien Dirkje Hoeben, Tobias Stern, Jette Bredahl Jacobsen, and Marie Lautrup in insightful discussions.

Who Should Attend:
We are looking for actors working along the wood value chain and in governing authorities. This includes forest owners and ALL people in industries that process or use wood, such as sawmills, pulpmills, construction, wooden furniture, wood-based textiles and so on.

Are you part of this diverse wood value chain? Join us on Tuesday, March 19th to:

• Gain a comprehensive overview of adaptation measures to overcome barriers to resilience implementation in European wood value chains.
• Join an interactive backcasting exercise, envisioning a desirable, resilient wood value chain, working backwards to carve out the preferred climate change adaptation measures to be taken by forest managers and the wood-based industries.
• Share your expertise and challenges on the topic with other wood-based actors and scientists in the field.
